SPEAKER BIOS!

Amy Peacock – is a Senior Research Fellow at the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre (NDARC). She is involved in the ADAPT study which is exploring the short and long-term impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the experiences of Australians who use illicit drugs. She is also the project lead for the Drug Trends, a national drug monitoring system intended to identify emerging trends of local and national concern in illicit drug markets. She will be talking to us about the impact of COVID 19 on illicit drugs in Australia.

Robbie Auld – is a Manager and Senior Epidemiologist within the Centre for Alcohol and Other Drugs at the NSW Ministry of Health. Robbie leads a team focused on acute toxicity surveillance, public health response and epidemiology. He will be giving you all the run down on where DanceWize NSW gets their drug alert information.

Jason – is a DanceWize NSW Team Leader and has been a volunteer with the program since 2018. He is self-confessed drug geek with an interest in pharmacological oddities, he has worked at over 30 events across the east coast providing frontline harm reduction education and loves busting common drug myths.

Erica Franklin - has been a DanceWize NSW Coordinator since June 2019, and part of its leadership team since the program’s inception in 2017. She has previously worked at NDARC, the Medically Supervised Injecting Centre and at several Needle & Syringe Programs. She has been attending festivals for over 15 years, and loves listening to punk, psytrance, metal, and 90s-2000s pop hits.
